“대한민국을 세계에 알리는 인물” 대한민국칭찬주인공 선정

정해권 인천광역시의회 의장이 대한민국의 긍정과 칭찬 문화를 세계에 알리는 인물로 선정되며

 ‘대한민국 칭찬주인공(인천시 제1호)’의 영예를 안았다.

이번 시상은 ‘대한민국을 세계에 알리는 인물(세계인물 383호)

선정과 함께 진행됐으며, 대한민국의 긍정 메시지를 세계로 확산하는 의미 있는 행사로 평가받고 있다.

시상식은 2025년 10월 22일 인천광역시의회 본관에서 개최됐으며

“칭찬으로 하나 되는 인천, 대한민국을 세계로”

이번 행사는 “칭찬으로 하나 되는 인천시, 대한민국을 세계로”라는 주제로 열렸다.

이를 통해 인천은 대한민국을 대표하는 ‘칭찬문화 선도도시’로 자리매김하고,
긍정과 격려의 사회적 가치를 확산하는 중심 도시로 도약하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다.

CCBS 백종찬 대표회장은 “이번 시상식은 인천이 대한민국을 대표하는

 ‘칭찬문화 수도’로 도약하는 출발점”이라며
“칭찬은 사람의 마음을 변화시키는 사회적 에너지이며

세대와 지역을 잇는 가장 강력한 소통의 언어”라고 강조했다.

‘대한민국 칭찬주인공 프로젝트’ 첫 출발
사회 발전과 국민 화합에 기여한 인물을 발굴해
‘대한민국을 세계에 알리는 인물(세계인물)’로 예우하는 국민 참여형 긍정문화 확산 프로그램이다.

이번 인천시 제1호 시상은 대한민국 긍정 리더십을 상징적으로 선포하는 프로젝트의 첫 출발점으로 평가된다.

‘칭찬카메라’ 깜짝 시상…20년의 지속된 실천

이번 시상은 기존 형식과 달리
‘칭찬카메라 깜짝 이벤트’ 방식으로 진행됐다.

사전 예고 없이 현장을 찾아 감사와 축하를 전하고
칭찬 인증서와 표창장을 수여하는 방식으로,
현장에는 진정성 있는 감동이 이어졌다.

이 프로젝트를 20년간 이어온 인물은 백종찬 대표로,
정부 지원 없이 개인 자금으로 행사를 지속해왔다.

그는
“칭찬은 사람을 살리고 사회를 움직이는 가장 조용하지만 가장 강한 힘”이라고 밝혔다.

Korea’s First “Compliment Hero” in Incheon Announced

Chairman Jung Hae-gwon Recognized as a Figure Who Promotes Korea to the World

Jung Hae-gwon, Chairman of the Incheon Metropolitan City Council, has been honored as the first “Korea Compliment Hero (Incheon No.1)” for his role in promoting Korea’s culture of positivity and encouragement to the global stage.

The award was presented alongside his recognition as the “Global Figure No. 383 Who Promotes Korea to the World,” marking the event as a meaningful milestone in spreading Korea’s positive message internationally.

The ceremony was held on October 22, 2025, at the Incheon Metropolitan Council building, co-hosted by CCBS Korea Broadcasting (Praise News), Mugunghwa Newspaper, the Korea Compliment Committee Federation, and CCBS News.

“Incheon United by Praise, Korea to the World”

The event was held under the theme:
“Incheon United by Praise, Korea to the World.”

Through this initiative, Incheon is expected to establish itself as a leading city of compliment culture, expanding the values of positivity and encouragement across society.

Launch of the “Korea Compliment Hero Project”

The “Korea Compliment Hero Project” is a public-participation initiative designed to discover individuals who contribute to social development and national unity, honoring them as global figures representing Korea.

This first award in Incheon symbolizes the official launch of a movement promoting positive leadership across the nation.

Surprise “Compliment Camera” Award Event

Unlike traditional ceremonies, this award was presented through a surprise “Compliment Camera” event.

Organizers visited the site without prior notice to deliver appreciation and recognition, creating a deeply emotional and genuine atmosphere.

Baek Jong Chan has led this initiative for over 20 years, personally funding the events without government support.

He emphasized,
“Praise is the quietest yet most powerful force that saves people and moves society.”
